Are you direly waiting to run away from the New York summer into the refreshing landscapes of the Hudson Valley? You’re not alone. But on a bright note, it might soon be possible to go into Hudson mode without a car, and all credits go to the Catskill Carriage.
If you purchase inaugural journey tickets five days in advance, they’ll cost you $55 one-way. If you wait to make the purchase within 1-4 days before the journey, it will cost you $65 a piece, and $68.75 on the day of the journey.
Catskill Carriage has received a large number of requests asking for service beyond the 2 current Catskills weekend routes, says Gabriel Brodbar, the founder.
And North is one of the partners of Catskill Carriage on the Hudson Valley pilot, and is going to host a 2nd annual Soiree on the Railway, which is supposed to be a beautiful train ride of the Catskill countryside. It also features live music and local fare.
If you’re drawing a very jam-packed bus ride to the Hudson Valley on your mind, hold right there. Your vehicle will come fitted with Wi-Fi, abundant legroom, and power outlets for each seat. They are also serving beverage and drinks, and the restroom will hold Aesop products.
Brodbar said the full capacity of the bus is 54 and it fits that many people comfortably. But they have capped the seat sales at about 40 so there’s ample elbow room and a lot of comfort for those onboard.
